First collaboration with Roméo Lajoumard for his second short film. The main sound intention was to inscribe a form of silence.
First collaboration with the young Vietnamese director Ha Le Diem.
Diem shot this beautiful documentary, alone with her camera and a simple Neumann KMR 81 attached to the camera.
With Hoang Thu Thuy, we worked as “Sound supervisors” for both filming and Post-production. It was an opportunity to work once again with Akritcharlem Kalayanamitr.
This film having received Purin support.
Short movie I made for the Lycée Français Alexandre Yersin in Hanoi. Theatrical “mise en scene” for cinema. Shot in a few hours with CM2 students.
Third collaboration with the young talented director Pham Ngoc Lan. As in these other films, Lan attaches great importance to the sound universe of his films. We are now “accomplices” in the work and it is always a great pleasure for me to build with Lan the sound atmospheres of his films both during shooting and post-production.
Very nice adventure with the whole sound post-production team of Spike Lee. On this film I held the position of recorder supervisor for the post-sync made in Vietnam. A real pleasure to work with sound engineers Kenton Jakub, Justine Baker, David Boulton and editor Adam Cough. Recording sessions performed in duplex between Studio WallSound in Ho Chi Minh City and C5 Sound Inc Studio in New York. A big thank you to the teams of WallSound and C5 Sound Inc.
First collaboration with the young talented director Le Lam Vien. A very successful comedy for this first short film. A great adventure with the entire Ever Rolling Films team. Very nice collaboration with the composer Felipe Salas Sandoval and the studio Ech Ech Studio in Hanoi.
New collaboration with photographer and director Morgan Ommer. For this movie I used a Sound Devices 788T recorder, a Neumann KM 140 microphone, HF Audio Limited with Sanken Cos 11 and an XY Rode NT4 stereo microphone.
First collaboration with the young director Trinh Dinh Le Minh. First feature film for Minh and a successful comedy!
First collaboration with Truong Minh Quy, young talented director. Working on sound post-production with Quy was a real pleasure. Sensitive and creative director.
Eight years after Bi don’t be afraid !, I return back to work with Phan Dang Di for this beautiful film He Serve Fish, She Eats Flower produced as part of the Food Lore series, Flavors of love, produced by HBO Asia.
First collaboration with photographer and director Morgan Ommer. For this film I used a Sound Devices 788T recorder, Audio Limited with Sanken Cos 11 and a Neumann KM 140.
Second collaboration with the young talented filmmaker, Pham Ngoc Lan. Like his previous film Another City, Blessed Land was selected at the 69th Berlinale in official competition.
Morgan Ommer was assigned to make a short character-driven documentary about a famous Hanoi-based personality: Chef Didier Corlou.
A young man who works as a slaughterman is forced to take revenge on three strangers that brutally attack his simple life.
First collaboration with the young vietnamese director Pham Ngoc Lan. splendid gathering and first short fiction movie for Lan. Pham Ngoc Lan a serious name to watch.
For Another City i was in charge the sound design, the sound editing and sound mixing. Lan is an exceptional talent, released of ordinary storytelling. These horizans are open for sound’s works
Another City is selected at the Berlin Internationale Film Festival 2016.
First collaboration with Olivier Lorelle, a pleasure. Generosity and humanity summarize the work of Olivier. Filmed with two cameras, FX700 and Alpha 7, the sound equipment configuration required for this working method is close to the documentary. You had to be light and mobile for this film, which is like a road movie, “walk movie” in the jungle and the Vietnamese mountain.
Great band met few times ago. For this recording i used two digital recorders, one Sound Devices 788T paired with an Eirol 4 and one preamp Wendt plug on output multitracks from the stage mixer. To get a good round sound with live mood i used on the room one stereo mic ORTF Okatava M012 and one Stereo mic XY Rode NT4.
